Accounts Senior – Regional Accountancy Practice, Sheffield
Barber McLelland are working in partnership with a leading regional firm of chartered accountants who are recruiting for an experienced practice accountant for the position of Accounts Senior (AAT qualified or qualified by experience)
The firm support a highly varied client base throughout the Yorkshire region, ranging from growing owner managed businesses through to large corporate entities, providing these clients with a full range of accounting, audit, business advisory and taxation services including highly innovative accounting and business solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role of Accounts Senior will assist with the following duties

Preparation of Statutory Accounts for a varied client portfolio

Point of contact for a number of clients within an allocated portfolio

Preparation of Business Tax
-
Preparation of Management Accounts
-
Exposure to training and advice on accounting software including cloud products
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience working within a firm of accountants with the experience of preparing statutory and management accounts with minimum supervision.
Qualified AAT or qualified by experience is key to the position.
The role requires an enthusiastic individual who can work on their own initiative and is well organised, who is looking to work within a forward thinking, dynamic practice.
The business in return will offer an excellent opportunity to broaden experience and skill set and will provide scope for further career progression, with the potential in the medium term for the role to progress to Senior Manager or Partnership for individuals wishing to take this route.
