Senior Tax Manager/Director
The Role
Barber McLelland is working in partnership with a highly progressive firm of Chartered Accountants who are seeking an ambitious, qualified tax professional for the role of Senior Tax Manager/Director.
The role would suit an ambitious Senior Manager who is seeking a new challenge with a forward-thinking, innovative business and considering a route to partnership.
You will be part of a highly successful and dynamic management team, offering compliance and bespoke advisory services to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be Chartered Tax qualified (CTA/CIOT) with a strong base of advisory experience working within the OMB sector, including:
- Tax planning
- Corporate Tax Compliance
- Income Tax
- Corporation Tax
- Capital Gains
- Overseas tax
- Company restructuring
- Tax Investigations
As Senior Tax Manager/ Director, you will work closely with the Partnership group, contributing to the strategic planning of the tax division, with the responsibility for overseeing a highly varied portfolio of tax clients. This will include reviewing work carried out by the tax team members.
Skills and Qualities
The successful individual will have developed a successful career working within a firm of accountants or a tax boutique and currently operates at Senior Manager level. The firm will also consider applications from Directors or current Partners. Individuals must also be qualified tax professionals.
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to assist in maintaining and developing the firm’s tax offering and in attracting new clients and building on the already impressive client portfolio.
