Junior Accountant/Semi Senior – Doncaster

Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley.

We have a newly created position for Junior Accountant/Semi Senior to join our Doncaster office.

Due to the highly varied client base, the successful candidate will develop great exposure across all areas of accounting, coupled with working within a highly supportive environment.

Working within a highly supported environment, the successful candidate will gain experience within:

• Preparation of Statutory accounts for Manager/Partner review
• Client Bookkeeping
• Preparation of Personal Tax returns
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns
• Develop experience in the use of cloud accounting products

Skills and Qualities

Applicants must have developed between 1 and 2 year’s experience working within the accountancy profession and will have developed experience for the preparation of accounts manager review stage.

We are ideally looking for an AAT level 2/3 applicant, applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience from within the accountancy profession but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also highly encouraged.

The business will provide a training mentor to help with your career development in day-to-day accounting activities. There is also funding beyond the completion of AAT for further ACCA studies.
