Senior Accountant, Northallerton
The Role
Barber McLelland is working in Partnership with a regional and highly progressive accountancy firm. Due to continued growth, the business are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their Northallerton office.
The firm provide a variety of services which includes Auditing, Statutory Accounts, Bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Management Accounts and Tax advisory
Due to the highly varied client base in which the firm support, the successful candidate will develop great exposure across all areas of accounting and business advisory experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of Senior Accountant will work within a highly experienced and supportive environment and will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of accounts for owner managed limited companies, sole traders and partnerships to review stage, by processing data from the client’s records – ideally with some agricultural client experience
- Preparation of personal and corporation tax computations
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Liaising directly with clients.
The successful applicant will have developed a minimum of 4 years experience working within the accountancy profession and will be level finalist or Qualified ACA/ACCA, have good knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
Applicants will be confident to visit clients, assisting them to maintain computerised accounting records and managing queries.
Individuals who have developed suitable experience but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also encouraged.
Salary/Benefits
- Salary £28,000 – £35,000
